Frequently Asked Questions
What is unclaimed property?
Unclaimed property refers to assets—such as checks, refunds, or dividends—that were issued but never successfully delivered or claimed. Over time, these funds are turned over to state agencies or other institutions. Our job is to help you locate and recover what's rightfully yours.
How long does the process take?
It depends on the source of your funds. In some cases, the process can move as quickly as two weeks. In others, it may take up to 12 weeks. We'll keep you informed every step of the way.
What do I need to provide?
Occasionally a change of address or a name change is the reason your funds went unclaimed. In those cases, you will need to update your records with the funds source. We will provide you with the paperwork to do it directly with the source. We will never ask for private financial information.
Are there any upfront costs?
None. We only get paid if and when you do. If your claim is unsuccessful, you owe us nothing. We will be happy we met you though!
